In a highly competitive international field, our team was one of three shortlisted to develop ideas and conceptual plans. We led the team through a visioning exercise which positioned the project within the context of SEQ as ‘The New Airport City’. Our submission developed key strategies relating to:

• Development consolidation to create vibrant commercially viable nodes;
• Structuring multiple mixed use precincts around multi-model transport options;
• Creating an interconnected network of landscaped green spines which integrate the site’s existing waterways; and
• Clustering development intensity in nodes of symbiotic landscapes, public plazas and shaded public realm.

An intensive and creative approach to planning and design resulted in an innovative and commercially robust master plan solution which comprehensively addressed a broad range of technical requirements identified by our supporting team of specialist consultants.
