Kate Freshwater

Student Architect

Kate recently completed her Bachelor of Design (Architectural Studies) with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology. As part of her Bachelor, Kate studied abroad at Politecnico di Torino in Italy.

After her time living abroad, Kate has developed an interest in exploring the cities as a diverse fabric of experiences intertwined into the built form. Drawing out some of the many ways cities are sensed, felt, experienced, lived in and travelled through.

Kate was recently selected to take part in the 2018 Architecture Student Summer School, run by Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston. Students were immersed in the landscape of the Kur-ing-gai Chase National Park where they gained an appreciation of place and a sensitivity for our Australian Landscape.
