Gladstone Gas Hub Visual & Lighting Assessment

ClientAECOM on behalf of Arrow Energy

LocationGladstone, QLD

Date2016

The proposed Gladstone Gas Hub is located in the Gladstone State Development Area. The gas hub will act as the termination point for the Arrow Bowen Pipeline and provide for connection to LNG plants on Curtis Island.

Lat27, as a subconsultant to AECOM, undertook the technical aspects of the Visual and Lighting Assessment (VALA) of the Gladstone Gas Hub on behalf of Arrow Energy using established Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) methodology and techniques.

Working collaboratively with AECOM and Arrow project teams, a combination of desk-top and fieldwork assessment was undertaken using standard Landscape and Visual Impact Techniques to identify the potential effects of the project, including permanent infrastructure and occasional flare activities. A range of mitigation measures have been incorporated into the design to lessen effects, including site landscaping and design of infrastructure components.
