Cornerstone Properties commissioned the Lat27 architecture team to prepare designs for reinvigoration of an existing podium terrace at their 299 Adelaide Street office tower.

The terrace was unloved and underutilised and in need of significant intervention to provide usable tenant amenity. The resulting composition included; sculptural shade structures, raised decks with informal seating, new glazed balustrading, stone paving, informal planting and outdoor furniture.

The curved steel canopies where conceived to respond to the curved facade of the tower and incorporate coloured aluminium shade battening and polycarbonate roofing.

Tenants can now enjoy these new outdoor dining and recreational spaces that provide protected amenity and choices for relaxation and informal meetings.
