José Gutiérrez

Landscape Architect

José is an Honours Graduate of Landscape Architecture from the Queensland University of Technology and passionate mountain biker. During his studies he received an award for his EDQ-North Shore Exhibition “The Nest Pavilion”, and was nominated for the prestigious Karl Langer Award at the completion of his degree in 2020.

With a background in architecture working in both Colombia and Australia and a strong passion for the outdoors, José has travelled and observed landscapes throughout the world. These experiences have informed his professional career and fed his passion for designing places that recognise and connect with existing natural systems and facilitate experiences that celebrate the stories that shape its inhabitants’ culture and traditions.

José is well versed in various Autodesk programs including AutoCad and has experience preparing visualisations for both design and landscape planning projects.

His current experience includes work across the health, education, tourism, recreation and energy sectors, and his skillset includes masterplan development, construction documentation and 3D visualisation.
