Aili Hardner

Landscape Architect

Aili is a recent graduate from the Queensland University of Technology, with Honours in Landscape Architecture. During her degree, she studied abroad at Edinburgh University, College of Art.

Aili is passionate about creating ‘real’ and exciting spaces, which respond to a sense of place and are enjoyable for the whole community. At university, she gained knowledge in small public space interventions and large-scale master planning. Her focus was in creating innovative climate sensitive designs which look towards the future and integrate the built environment seamlessly with the needs of each project’s ecological context.

Aili also does part time tutoring at the Queensland University of Technology. She has received numerous acknowledgements of her hard work including:

  • 2015 Queensland Representative for the Landscape Architecture Australia Student Prize
  • 2015 QUT Best Overall Work in Fourth Year Design
  • 2015 QUT Nominee for the Robin Edmond Award, Hassell Travel Scholarship
  • Exhibited as a part of 2016 QUT in the 9th International Biennale of Landscape Architecture in Barcelona
