Congratulations to Student Landscape Architect Sebastian Cocks who was awarded the RMIT University 2022 Landscape Architecture Australia Student Prize from Landscape Australia.

Sebastian’s project ‘Patchwork Plains’ investigates ways to reconnect the remnant patches of native grassland in Melbourne’s western suburbs and proposes the reintegration of the native grasslands into the city – reconnecting remnant patches by developing ecological corridors. The project approaches grassland reconnection through three lenses: the emotional, the temporal and the spatial.

Welcome is also in order as Sebastian only recently joined our Melbourne studio as a Student Landscape Architect in his final year of study at RMIT. Welcome Sebastian!
